Here are a few shots that I took on Friday at Sammy’s Cafe in Rexburg. The bands Truman and Allred performed along with Ryan Innes and a surprise performance by Preston Pugmire.

Members of the Band Truman at Sammy's Cafe

A close up of Truman's guitarist. I think he was playing a PRS.

Getting the crowd involved.

Preston Pugmire made a surprise appearance and played a few songs off his upcoming album.

Members of the band Allred.

I really like the lighting on this shot, it gives it a more retro feel.

I like how the soft orange light contrasts with the keyboard player/s greenish blue shirt.

I was using a telephoto lens when this crowd surfer went right by me. I had my camera settings adjusted to the stage lighting, so when I took this shot, the combination of the low light and slower shutter speed created the neon swirlies in the photo.

Rock 'n' Roll!

Playing some originals

Playing with his teeth a la Jimi Hendrix!

He used the pick ups on his guitar to record and loop his voice while he played.

Ryan Innes performed some solo acoustic songs

Ryan, I really liked the photos of bands that you took. They turned out really great. I had never thought of photographing bands, but looking at these made me want to! What a cool idea. They were very fun to look at, and they show a cool style that you have as a photographer.
